Youth Class: Wall Shelf & Pen

This class is for ages 12-14 only.

Over four two-hour sessions, students ages 12-14 will work independently under the guidance of educator Preston Sweeney to create their own wall shelf and turned pen.

Students will use a provided pattern to create a small wall shelf that can hold lightweight items such as books, plants, or decorations. This project introduces basic woodworking skills, tool safety, and design concepts while giving students a functional product to take home. In addition students will have the opportunity to explore woodturning by creating their own wooden pen using a wood lathe.

No prior experience is necessary—just a willingness to learn and create. All materials and safety equipment will be provided. Spaces are limited, so sign up today for this fun and rewarding experience!
