Mom & Child Class: Propagation Station & Heart Box

Celebrate the beauty of spring and the love we share with our moms through a heartfelt, hands-on woodworking experience.
This class is designed for moms of all ages and their children (ages 8 and up) to spend quality time together while creating something meaningful. In this special session, each pair will craft a charming plant propagator and a small wooden box with a heart-shaped cutout — perfect for gifting, sharing, or treasuring as a keepsake.
Working side by side, moms and kids will use a variety of tools and machines, gaining confidence and learning new skills together. Whether you're brand new to woodworking or a curious hobbyist, this beginner-friendly class is a joyful and supportive way to connect, create, and celebrate.
Guided by the talented Karen Cavotta — Engineering and Technology teacher, Joinery Board Member, and proud mom of three — this class offers both inspiration and encouragement in equal measure.
Tools Used: Miter Saw, Drill Press, Edge Sander, Disc Sander, Coping Saw, Hand Sander
Come ready to build memories, share laughter, and leave with two beautiful handmade projects that will be cherished for years to come.
